Dear Parents and Students,

There are many excellent children’s books available, including the titles we’ve
recommended on this reading list. This list is just one resource for locating great
books. The public library and many local bookstores are also excellent sources of
information and will be delighted to help you fill you with wonderful books.
High School and Junior High School students are encouraged to read at least
five books from the list below (over the course of one year). We ask that the
elementary students read one book from each of the six categories listed on
our bibliography. The books listed are suggested titles, and we have tried to
include books for the varied reading levels. Also, please note that any additional
book by one of the authors listed here may be read,too.
